Designed by Ewert Leaf and developed by Roulston, this architecturally refined residential development blends seamlessly into its prestigious Armadale streetscape. Defined by a strong sense of linearity, the structure is composed of brick, concrete, and steel, creating a minimalist yet dynamic aesthetic. Charcoal satin brickwork lends the façade a sense of solidity and tradition, softened by lush greenery woven into the building’s form. Externally, concrete render was applied with subtle tonal variations to enhance depth and texture, while steel arbor pergolas and timber soffits add warmth and character to the outdoor spaces. Abundant glazing completes the composition, bringing natural light into the interiors and further emphasising the building’s material richness.

From a construction perspective, Figurehead successfully navigated the challenges of delivering a project with such a refined and detailed material palette. The integration of multiple structural and aesthetic elements required a coordinated approach, ensuring seamless transitions between brick, concrete, and steel while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. Special attention was given to the installation of steel arbor pergolas, designed to provide shade while supporting climbing greenery, and to the detailed brickwork that demanded precise execution to achieve its desired uniformity and finish. Every aspect of the build, from façade treatments to final finishes, was carefully managed to meet the high expectations of both the architect and developer.
