Clifton Hill Primary School, a modern, multi-level vertical campus designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing site. Spanning four levels, the facility features a gymnasium, state-of-the-art classrooms, breakout areas, and a rooftop garden, providing students and staff with a dynamic learning environment.

Engaged by the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) to rectify and complete the project after a previous contractor left it at 70% completion with significant defects, Figurehead faced several complex challenges. Among the most critical was addressing water damage in the Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) structure. We implemented a detailed moisture control strategy, using industrial dehumidifiers over a 12-week period, including accelerated works during the Christmas holidays to recover lost time. This proactive approach ensured the structural integrity of the timber, meeting stringent quality standards. Figurehead also successfully re-engaged subcontractors who were hesitant to return, restoring confidence through clear communication, revised scopes of work, and strong leadership. By developing an accelerated program, increasing collaboration with the VSBA, and deploying additional resources, we delivered a classroom-ready building on schedule. The Clifton Hill Primary School project exemplifies our expertise in overcoming challenges, maintaining quality, and delivering educational facilities that support and inspire.
