This luxurious $22.7m waterfront development on Melbourne’s spectacular Mornington Peninsula offers 25 two-bedroom and 17 three-bedroom apartments, as well as an expansive four-bedroom penthouse with pool.
Featuring three levels above ground and a basement level car park, the complex is constructed from reinforced and post tensioned concrete. The façade incorporates elements of masonry, timber and precast concrete, as well as aluminium framed glazing systems.
Designer interiors boast high-end finishes including wide timber flooring, LED feature lighting, stone bench tops and splashbacks, and architectural-grade sliding glass doors and windows.
The project was procured under an early contractor involvement (ECI) ‘Design and Construct’ model, allowing Figurehead to engage and manage consultants to develop detailed design documentation including floor plans, elevations and sales and marketing collateral that adhered to the client’s expectations and cost plan.
The accelerated nature of the ECI process demanded a coordinated and committed approach from our team in order to mobilise the program and commence construction as quickly as possible.
As part of a brownfields master development plan, the site for this project requires us to work closely with local authorities managing existing and new infrastructure which is being rolled out simultaneously with our construction program.
The Moorings development is contracted for completion in late 2019.
