A carefully crafted boutique development of just 21 apartments, Pelham is a collection of elegant and generous contemporary residences designed to complement an unmatched location in one of Melbourne’s most sought-after suburbs. Built across three levels with a double basement car park, the ‘floating’ façade features in-situ concrete and precast panels offset by timber, brick and metal work. Interiors boast abundant natural light and luxurious high-end finishes including timber chevron flooring, marble bench tops and Miele appliances.
After collaborating with the developer during initial cost planning stages, Figurehead was invited to participate in a competitive tender process with a rival builder. We won the project under a ‘Design and Construct’ contract and have since assisted the client with further value management to ensure target values could be achieved.
With construction commencing early April 2018, our construction program accommodates a few significant challenges including the need for piling installation along the site’s neighbouring boundary, and the fact that the site is located on a busy main road. There are also several large trees onsite that will need to be carefully preserved throughout the construction process.
The Pelham apartments are due to be completed in July 2019.
