This $9M development required a builder who could deliver exceptional quality and flexibility to meet the high-end specifications of clients and investors who would accept nothing less than perfection.
Following a traditional tender submission process, Figurehead was nominated as the preferred builder for this project following strong recommendations and endorsement from a number of referees.
We submitted a highly competitive cost estimate and, although ours was not the lowest initial submission, strong financier endorsement and an existing professional relationship with the sales and marketing agent made Figurehead the clear choice in the eyes of all key stakeholders. We won the project and commenced construction on site in November 2012.
While Figurehead was not involved in the pre-construction design management, only a handful of the 18 proposed apartments had been sold at the time we commenced building on site. As construction progressed, investors began purchasing multiple apartments to combine and create larger, even more spectacular residences. Due to the high-end nature of the project, the purchaser amendments were substantial and complex, including over 100 modifications to the original plans.
