Set within a stone’s throw of gorgeous Gardiners Creek and nearby natural parkland, each of the 36 apartments in this stylish corner complex is flooded with natural light and features exceptional use of space and low-maintenance liveability. This $10.5M development includes a double level basement car park, retail space at ground level and four levels of one and two bedroom apartments.
Offering investors and owner-occupiers a rare opportunity to acquire property in refined Glen Iris, the contemporary façade consists of timber cladding, Alucobond and rendered precast, while interiors boast European appliances and high-quality finishes throughout.
This project was offered under a comprehensive ‘Design & Construct’ contract, meaning the appointed builder would be responsible for managing all aspects of the design development and construction of the complex. Following a competitive tender process, Figurehead was awarded the contract and construction commenced on site in April 2015.
Located at the intersection of High St and Glen Iris Road, the site presented a number of challenges to our team. Deliveries to the busy intersection required precision management, while the close proximity of overhead power lines to the site on two elevations prevented the planned use of mobile cranes, leading us to incorporate ASF concrete cladding panels into the design instead of the originally planned precast panels.
Our experienced team were able to effectively overcome these challenges to deliver the Gardiner Rise project in October 2016, four weeks ahead of the contracted completion date.
